Dialogue Session Design Tool

Informative's Dialogue platform consists of a design tool that is used to build surveys and a portfolio tool that loads the survey into a production environment and provides reporting. As an application engineer, I spent the majority of my time using the design tool to create surveys for clients. Unfortunately, the design tool was a very awkwardly built functional mockp, and never recieved the UI revamp that the original engineers had intended for it before their start-up was aquired, so it was painfully cumbersome to use.

Since the engineering team did not have the bandwidth to correct these drawbacks, I took it upon myself to identify the aspects of the tool that needed to be corrected, and to apply those changes. The changes included maximizing the available work space, hiding rarely used features, eliminating the need for constant scrolling, and applying the company's new branding.

The changes may sound minimal, but it's amazing how much time can be saved in the day-to-day development process through a few well placed usability optimizations. And our clients certainly appreciated the improved turn-around time for their projects.
